Today, at 15:50z (10:50am local), construction of my RV-7A officially began…sort of. Although I’ve been close to sending in my order form on multiple occasions, I usually hesitated and put it off to give myself more time to think about it. This time, I filled out the form, called Van’s to confirm that they would accept a PDF copy of the form, and hit send!
In the end, I decided to go with manual trim. I like the idea of electric trim, and may add it before the empennage is complete, but I have nothing against manual trim and would prefer to place the 300 bucks into my new ”wing kit fund.” Contributions to this fund are welcomed.
I’m ready to get started…where’s that FedEx truck!
