It’s finally cooled off a little in south Texas. With a fan blowing directly on me, the garage is almost bearable again!
I finished deburring the edges on all of the leading edge ribs. After using emory cloth on all the little tabs, I used my die grinder with a 2″ Scotchbrite wheel to deburr the edges of the lightening holes (2 per rib).
I also spent some time looking at the instructions for the stall warner. The stall warner is now standard on all wing kits, but I’m not planning on using it since I’ll have an AOA. Unfortunately, the left leading edge skin already has an access port and rivet holes punched for the installation of the stall warner. Because the skin already has all these holes, I’ll have to figure out the best way to fill them without installing the warner.
As a side note, I’m watching Star Trek (2009) while I write this. Will installing a warp core on an RV-7 throw off the weight and balance too much?
