Tonight, I finished dimpling the right tank ribs and then started to work on the skin. First, I removed the blue vinyl from the rivet lines on the outside of the skin. I’m leaving the rest on for now just to protect the skin from scratches and tank sealant. Once the tanks are on the wings, I’ll probably remove the remainder of the blue.
I then started to deburr the holes in the skin…and there are a lot of holes in the skin! I only made it about half way through, so I’ll have to finish up and start dimpling on another day.
