Fuselage Kit Delivered (12/7/11)

0.6 Hours -

Let the airplane building fun resume!  The ABF driver pulled up to my house at 2:15 this afternoon.  By 2:25, the truck was gone and a huge crate, containing the pieces of a fuselage, was sitting in my garage.  Unfortunately, I had to go back to work, so there wasn’t any time to open it up or start the inventory.

My fuselage kit was delivered by ABF in a Ryder truck.

The fuselage crate is huge! Let the unpacking begin!

After returning home from work, I couldn’t resist opening the crate.  Prying the lid off the crate seemed much easier this time around, and I had it open in under 10 minutes.  As usual, the folks at Van’s have thoroughly impressed me with their packing abilities…there’s no wasted space in that crate!  I was able to start pulling out a few parts bundles, but I still have to finish rearranging the garage so that I can spread things out a bit.  Unless something else comes up, I should be able to complete the inventory this weekend.

The people at Van's are master packers, but they sure like to use a lot of paper.

The fuselage packing list is long. Inventory could take a while!
